Currently Talk2Group is supported on iPhone and Android handsets. We are rolling out apps for Blackberry, Nokia and many other handsets in the coming weeks. How do I install app? How does Talk2Group work? Simply start your Talk2Group app, add contacts and a topic and press start. Our service takes care of sending invite SMS messages to each person you invite. To join the call they simply click on or dial the number they receive in the SMS message. Can I schedule calls? Yes, you can schedule calls up to two weeks into the future. Each person you invite will receive a reminder 10 minutes before the call is due to begin. Can I setup calls immediately? Yes. With an immediate call, how long do callers have to dial in? The immediate Talk2Group call is open for 45 minutes after it has been created. How many people can take part in a Talk2Group call? 9 people can be invited with Talk2Group. Do participants need a smart phone? No they only need any phone which can receive a text message. Do I need to send PIN numbers and bridge numbers? No, PIN numbers are not required and the dial in number will be sent in the text message. How much do Talk2Group calls cost? Talk2Group calls comes out of your phone's price plan. More often than not these calls will cost you nothing because of your free minutes bundle. Does Talk2Group send SMS on my behalf? Yes, Talk2Group will send SMS invites to each of your contacts. The message will say something like "Hi John, Tom has invited you, Dave and Mary to talk about the Rugby Match. To join; call 08XXXXXXXXX". Talk2Group may also send a message to participants after a call to invite them to download the application too. Does Talk2Group send my phone number to my contacts? No, Talk2Group only sends your name as you entered when registering. Your name can also be a handle or alias if you wish. |
